Faret Tachikawa Art Museum Day 2023 Spring

The Faret Tachikawa district at the north exit of Tachikawa Station, which has 109 pieces of public art by 92 artists from 36 countries around the world, will be transformed into an art museum, and various programs will be held.
Please come and visit Faret Tachikawa Art, Tachikawa’s world-class public art town.

■ Special exhibition

① “Elementary School Faret Tachikawa Art Appreciation Class” Report Exhibition

The “Elementary School Faret Tachikawa Art Appreciation Class” is held as part of art classes at Tachikawa City Elementary School.
After the on-site tour, works created by the children will be displayed as part of their learning experience.

②Recruitment for “9th Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest”

Would you like to submit a photo that includes Faret Tachikawa Art? There will also be a cash prize for the grand prize. Winning works from the first round will be exhibited.

Date and time : Tuesday, Mar 7th – Sunday, Mar 12th.

■ Art tour

An art guided tour where the Faret Tachikawa Artworks are explained by the volunteer group “Faret Club.”

■ Workshop

① “Art Na Ribbon Installation” We put ribbons up in our own town

Artist TONOHARUNA of Ishida Soko Atelier created an installation in which colorful ribbons are tied around the city and swayed in the wind, creating a vibrant space. Why not tie your favorite ribbon and join us in creating your work?

Your ribbon will become part of the work.
If you have ribbons made of shiny fabrics (satin, etc.) or transparent fabrics (organdy, etc.), please donate them.

②Japanese rock balancing “Ishihana

You can enjoy the collaboration between rock balancing (stone balancing), the art of piling up rocks and stones, and Faret Tachikawa Art. Mr. Chitoku Ishihana, a master Ishihana master, will teach you some tips. Why not immerse yourself in stones?

A market selling craft art and handmade goods has opened on Sansan Road.

■ Tachikawa local vegetable market

Koyama Farm, which mainly produces rare and colorful vegetables, Ami-chan Farm, which is famous for its edible flowers and strawberries, and Nokaru, which sells seasonal vegetables and processed products from local farmers, will have stalls. Enjoy Tachikawa’s fresh vegetables and carefully selected specialty products.

Mulberry Field BOOK CAFE CARAVAN

If you collect stamps by participating in Museum Day events or purchasing collaboration menus, you will receive original Faret Tachikawa Art goods on a first-come, first-served basis.

■ Presents for visitors

Those who download and present the Faret Tachikawa Art Navi app on their smartphones or those who donate money to preserve and utilize Faret Tachikawa Art will receive original goods at the headquarters booth. Masu.
