Faret Tachikawa Art Museum Day 2022 Autumn
The Faret Tachikawa district at the north exit of Tachikawa Station, which has 109 pieces of public art by 92 artists from 36 countries around the world, will be transformed into an art museum, and various programs will be held. Please come and visit Faret Tachikawa Art, Tachikawa’s world-class public art town.

■ Exhibition
①Special exhibition “±Multiple Sculptors Exhibition”
This is an exhibition project by Faret artist Shigehito Matsuda. We will focus on artists and forms that do not fit into the traditional categories of “sculpture” and “craft.” This time, nine artists will exhibit their works using the entrances and open spaces of each building in Faret Tachikawa district.

We will welcome Mr. Keisuke Mori, curator of Chiba City Museum of Art, as a guest, and will speak on the theme of cities and art.

②Photo exhibition “8th Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest” winning works exhibition
Out of 114 entries, 13 winners were selected, including the Grand Prize, Mayor’s Prize, and Citizen’s Prize, through a popularity vote and a review by the Faret Tachikawa Art Management Committee.
③Special Exhibition “Elementary School Faret Tachikawa Art Appreciation” Report Exhibition
After viewing Faret Tachikawa Art as part of their arts and crafts class, 5th graders at Tachikawa City Elementary School
will present the works they created as part of their post-curricular learning. This time, we will be exhibiting the works of the students of the Dainana Elementary School.
Please take a look at the children’s sensibilities stimulated by Faret Tachikawa Art .

■ Art tour
This is an art guided tour where the Faret Club, a volunteer group with extensive knowledge of Faret Tachikawa Art, introduces works. You can listen to stories about various works and writers in Japanese or English. Additionally, on Thursday, Oct 13th, the 28th birthday of Faret Tachikawa, we will hold a special 3-hour tour to view all 109 works. ※Rain or shine

A market selling craft art and goods is open mainly on Sansan Road.

For a limited time, hotels and cafes near Faret Tachikawa will be selling collaborative menus inspired by Faret Tachikawa Art.

“Museum Art” is a cake with a motif of Faret Tachikawa’s art.
They will be sold at the “Lounge His Salon de Cafe” on the 1st floor of Palace Hotel Tachikawa.

■ Presents for visitors
The first 100 people will receive an original calendar for 2023 created using the winning works of the “8th Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest”. In addition, original goods will be presented to those who download and present the application “Faret Tachikawa Art Navi” on their smartphone or tablet, or those who donate to support the preservation and utilization of Faret Tachikawa Art. .
