Recruiting works for the 10th “Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest”!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the birth of “Faret Tachikawa Art”.
Anyone can apply as long as the work is photographed includes Faret Tachikawa Art.
We also plan to hold a photo exhibition of the submitted works and produce a calendar using the winning works.
Please feel free to take photos of your favorite works or moments that you want to share with everyone, and submit your wonderful photos that are full of your love for “Faret Tachikawa Art”!

■Contents of submitted works

■Eligibility to apply
Anyone can apply.
*If you are a minor, please apply with the consent of your guardian (we will assume that you have obtained consent at the time you apply).

■Application deadline
: Must arrive by Friday, June 7th, 2024

■Up to 3 entries per person

■How to apply

  1. Please send by courier or mail to the address below.
    *Shipping costs must be paid by the applicant.
    *The organizer is not responsible for accidents such as non-delivery or damage.
    *Entries submitted will not be returned.
  2. Please fill in the required information on the “Application Form” on the flyer(copies are accepted), check the relevant confirmation items, and submit your application.
    Attach firmly with cellophane tape to the back of the item so that you can see the top and bottom of the work (1piece per work) please.
    *Works that do not have an “application form” attached, do not include the necessary information, or do not check the relevant confirmation items will be invalid and will not be subject to review.

■Conditions for submitted works

*Entries that do not meet the following conditions will be invalid and will not be subject to review, even if submitted.

  1. Photographs including Faret Tachikawa Art
    *Faret Tachikawa Art can be viewed on the homepage, etc.
  2. Printed photos (color or monochrome available)
    *Digital photography or film photography is not applicable.
    *Applications using digital data, positive/negative film, etc. will not be accepted.
    *For output using a printer, only photo paper is required. (plain paper not available)
  3. Size: wide 4-cut, A4
  4. Shooting period: Anytime
  5. The work must be an original work taken by the applicant, unpublished, and for which the applicant owns all copyrights.
  6. Works that fall under the following cannot be submitted. (Including similar works)
    – Works previously submitted to this contest
    – Works that are currently being applied for or scheduled to be applied for other contests, etc., or that have won prizes in the past.
    ・Photos taken in places where entry or photography is prohibited, or photos that violate laws.
    ・Things that are judged to be contrary to public order and morals.
    – Contents that are judged to infringe on property or privacy, or include slander.
    – Items that are for profit or display items related to politics, religion, etc.

●If the organizer determines that the submitted work violates the application guidelines or the law, the organizer may cancel the award winnings of this contest without giving any notice. If a prize is cancelled, the organizer may request the winner to return their certificate, prize money, prize, etc.

■Applicant’s responsibility

  1. If the submitted work contains a copyrighted work owned by someone other than Faret Tachikawa Art, or if it contains a portrait of another person, the copyright holder of the copyrighted work or the portrait itself (if under 18 years old) Please be sure to obtain prior consent from your parent or guardian.
    *Please also check the “Confirmation Items” column of the “Application Form”.
    *Unchecked works will be invalid and not subject to review.
  2. In the event that any act that infringes on the copyright or portrait rights of another person is performed, the applicant will be responsible for all troubles related to this. The organizer does not take any responsibility.

■Judging, results announcement, photo exhibition, awards

  1. Works shot digitally and those shot on film will be judged without distinction.
  2. First round of judging: Winning works will be determined by judges selected by the organizer.

    *Only successful applicants will be directly sent an offer notice.
    *Winners will be required to submit image data of their winning works to the organizer.
    *If the application is not submitted by the specified date specified in the offer notice, the selection will be cancelled.
  3. Photo Exhibition/Popularity Vote: Works will be exhibited and the general public will vote on the selected works.

  4. Final Judging: The winning works will be determined based on the results of the popularity vote and the judges selected by the organizer.

    *Winners will be notified directly, and the winning works will also be announced on the organizer’s website, etc.
  5. Award Ceremony: The award ceremony will be held in mid-October (scheduled).

●We cannot respond to inquiries or requests regarding the screening results.

■Copyright, etc. of submitted works

  1. The copyright of the submitted work belongs to the photographer.
  2. The organizer will display submitted works free of charge in event exhibitions such as photo exhibitions, websites, SNS, advertising materials such as pamphlets and flyers, publications such as calendars and work collections, and goods produced by the organizer. You may use it freely. In addition, in order to improve the recognition and image of Faret Tachikawa Art, organizations and companies other than the organizer may use it with the organizer’s permission.
  3. The organizer may modify the submitted work (including removing part of the work, changing the color, etc.) when posting on the website or SNS, or producing advertising materials, publications, etc.
    In this case, the applicant shall not assert any rights based on the author’s moral rights against the organizer or any organization or company that has obtained permission from the organizer.
  4. The copyright of the produced advertising materials, publications, goods, etc. belongs to the organizer. Applicants are deemed to have given prior consent to the use of derivative works by the organizer or organizations/companies designated by the organizer.

■Handling of personal information

  1. The organizer will use the personal information provided by applicants when applying for this contest to the extent necessary for the operation of this contest. The information will not be used for purposes other than the intended purpose or provided to a third party without the consent of the applicant.
  2. The organizer may publish the applicant’s name and place of residence (city, town, village name) on websites it manages or uses, photo exhibitions, printed materials, advertising materials, etc.

■Other notes

  1. The organizer is not responsible for any damage caused by applying for this contest.
  2. We will take great care in handling submitted works, but please note that we cannot be held responsible for any accidents.
