Faret Tachikawa Art Museum Day 2024 Autumn
The “Faret Tachikawa” district at the north exit of Tachikawa Station, which has 109 pieces of public art by 92 artists from 36 countries around the world, will be transformed into an art museum, and various programs will be held. Please come and visit Faret Tachikawa, Tachikawa’s world-class public art town.
*Headquarters will be established only on the Saturday, 12th and Sunday 13th.
Exhibition：Friday, Oct 11th and Monday/Holiday, Oct 14th, 2024.

■ Special exhibition
①“Elementary School Faret Tachikawa Art Appreciation Class” Report Exhibition
The “Elementary School Faret Tachikawa Art Appreciation Class” is held as part of art classes at Tachikawa City Elementary School. After the on-site tour, works created by the children will be displayed as part of the learning experience. This time it’s a work by a 5th grade student at Tachikawa City Seventh Elementary School.
②”10th Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest” winning works exhibition
From among the 108 entries, the winner was selected through a popularity vote and a review by the Faret Tachikawa Art Management Committee.
Thirteen works have been selected for the Grand Prize, Mayor’s Prize, Citizen’s Prize, and Special Jury Prize.

③”Faret Tachikawa Art Paper Diorama”
To commemorate Faret Tachikawa Art’s 30th anniversary, we will exhibit a paper diorama created by Fukunaga Print Co.,Ltd.
After the exhibition, there will be a traveling exhibition at the Central Library, City Hall, and other locations.
*On the 12th (Sat) and 13th (Sun), it will be displayed in front of the red flowerpot (headquarters tent) on the north side of Tachikawa Takashimaya S.C.
④“Art Brut Tachikawa Exhibition”
We will exhibit works by Art Brut artists active in the Tama area.
⑤“Tachikawa City/Omachi City Sister City Northern Alps Art Festival 2024 Panel Exhibition”
A panel exhibition will introduce the on-site situation of the “Northern Alps Art Festival 2024”, which will be held in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture, from Friday, September 13th to Monday, November 14th (holiday).

“30 years of Faret Tachikawa Art”
A 30th anniversary ceremony and symposium were held. The speakers included Art Director Fram Kitagawa, Faret Tachikawa Art Management Committee Chairman Tetsuo Kawaguchi, and others. On the day of the event, we will invite public art experts to exchange opinions on the past 30 years and the future of Faret Tachikawa Art.

Citizen-created script x recitation by stage actors! “TACHIKYAWA Between Zero and I” and “Tachikawa Overtourism” Two scripts inspired by Faret Tachikawa Art, which were born from citizen creative seminars, will be read and performed by actors and directors from Tachikawa Sosousha.

An installation by artist Nohara Masui of Ishida Soko Atelier.
This is a work that everyone will make by cutting and pasting paper parts onto the “Another Flower Pot” that will appear at Faret Tachikawa for one day only. Would you like to participate in the production while being surrounded by Faret’s works?
