The 12th “Faret Tachikawa Art Photo Contest” calls for entries!

Anyone who has taken a photograph that includes “Faret Tachikawa Art” is eligible to enter. Entries will be used for the photo exhibition and for the production of a calendar featuring the winning entries. We hope you will submit many wonderful photos that show your love for Faret Tachikawa Art!

■How to apply
- Please send by courier or mail to the following address. *Applicants are responsible for shipping costs. *The organizer will not be responsible for accidents such as undelivered or damaged items. *Entries will not be returned.
- Please fill in all required fields and check the applicable confirmation boxes on the “Application Form (Work Information)” (photocopies acceptable), and securely affix it with cellophane tape to the back of the submitted work (one form per work), ensuring that the top and bottom orientation of the work is clearly indicated.
- Please also fill in all required fields on the “Application Form (Photographer Information)” below and enclose it with the submission (one form per submission). Do not affix this form to the work. *Entries without the “Application Form” attached, without the required information, or without the appropriate checks will be considered invalid and will not be considered.

■Entry Requirements
*Entries that do not meet the following criteria will be considered invalid and will not be considered.
- Photographs taken including Faret Tachikawa Art. *Faret Tachikawa Art is available on our website and other sites.
- Printed photographs (color or black and white acceptable) *Digital or film photography is acceptable. *Entries in the form of digital data, positive or negative film, etc. will not be accepted. *For printer output, only photo paper is acceptable (plain paper is not acceptable).
- Size : A4 size only
- Filming Period : Saturday, June 7, 2025 – Friday, June 5, 2026
- The work must be original, unpublished, photographed by the applicant, and for which the applicant owns all copyrights.
- Entries that fall into any of the following categories (including similar works) will not be accepted.
Works that have been submitted to this contest in the past
Works that are currently being submitted or planned for submission to other contests, or that have won awards in the past
Works taken in areas where entry or photography is prohibited, or those that violate laws and regulations/Works deemed to be against public order and morals
Works that infringe on property or privacy, or contain defamatory content
Works created for commercial purposes or containing elements related to politics or religion - If an entry includes copyrighted material owned by others (excluding Faret Tachikawa Art) or features an identifiable person, the entrant must obtain prior consent from the copyright holder or the individual (or their legal guardian if under 18). * Be sure to check the “Confirmation Items” section on the application form. * Entries without this confirmation will be considered invalid and will not be reviewed.
- The entrant is fully responsible for resolving any copyright or portrait rights issues. The organizer assumes no responsibility for such matters.
- Digital and film photography will be judged without distinction.
- **First Screening:** A panel of judges selected by the organizer will determine the selected entries.
【Announcement】
Late July 2026 (tentative) * Only selected entrants will be directly notified. * Selected entrants must submit image data of their winning works to the organizer. * Failure to submit by the deadline specified in the notification will result in disqualification. - **Exhibition & Popular Vote:** Selected works will be displayed, and a public vote will be conducted.

July 28 (Tue) – August 6 (Thu), 2026 at Tachikawa Women’s Comprehensive Center “I’m”【Selected Works Exhibition & Popular Vote (Selected Works)】
August 8 (Sat) – August 16 (Sun), 2026 at Tachikawa City Hall - **Final Screening:** Award-winning works will be determined based on the popular vote results and judging by the panel.
【Announcement】
Early September (tentative) * Winners will be notified directly, and the results will be published on the organizer’s website. - **Awards Ceremony:** Scheduled for mid-October.
- Copyrights of submitted works belong to the photographer.
- The organizer reserves the right to freely use submitted works for exhibitions, website and social media postings, promotional materials such as pamphlets and flyers, and other publications such as calendars and photo collections, at no cost. Additionally, to enhance recognition and image promotion of Faret Tachikawa Art, the organizer may allow third-party organizations or companies to use the works with permission.
- The organizer may edit submitted works (e.g., cropping or color adjustments) for use on websites, social media, promotional materials, or publications. Entrants agree not to assert their moral rights against the organizer or any third party authorized by the organizer.
- The copyright of promotional materials, publications, and merchandise created by the organizer will belong to the organizer. Entrants agree in advance to the use of derivative works by the organizer or its designated organizations or companies.
- Personal information provided by entrants will only be used within the necessary scope of contest operations and will not be disclosed to third parties without consent.
- The organizer may publish entrants’ names and city/town of residence (municipality level) on its website, exhibition materials, printed publications, and promotional materials.
- The organizer assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from contest participation.
- While utmost care will be taken in handling submitted works, the organizer will not be responsible for any accidents or damages.
● If the organizer determines that an entry violates the contest guidelines or laws, the organizer reserves the right to revoke awards or disqualify entries without prior notice. If an award is revoked, the organizer may request the return of certificates, prize money, or other prizes.
