The whole city is an art museum! Held “Faret Tachikawa Art Museum Day 2017 Spring”
The “Faret Tachikawa”, where has 109 public art works by 92 artists from 36 countries around the world, will be considered as an art museum, and various programs such as symposia and exhibitions will be held. Please visit the venue with your friends and family.
Symposium “Faret Tachikawa A city that reflects the world-The departure of public art in the 21st century is here”
“The Faret Tachikawa Public Art Project. Art has changed the town of base” (written by Fram Kitagawa) will be published. A symposium will be held based on this book that talks about the history of Faret Tachikawa and its future prospects over 20 years. On the day, the participating artist Felice Valini of Faret Tachikawa will also be invited, and the North Alps International Art Festival will be held in June this year in the sister city Omachi, Nagano Prefecture, and a mayor of Omachi will also participate.

Outdoor Installation & Art Workshop
「Relational air / sky ～Tachikawa ∞ Ohmachi」on Faret Tachikawa
Artist: Airflow Club, Koji Morino
We will transform the outdoor installation and workshop held at the pre-event of the “North Alps International Art Festival” into a form unique to Faret Tachikawa as the first phase of exchange with art from Omachi City, a sister city. The works created in this workshop will be exhibited at the “North Alps International Art Festival”, and art will connect the sky of Tachikawa and Omachi.

Exhibit “Faret Tachikawa Archive, Connect to the Future”
We display works of workshop by Hirotoshi Sakaguchi (Faret Tachikawa Artist), a special exhibition of sketches and models of artists at the time of Faret Tachikawa Project and activity record of the volunteer group “Faret Club” reaching its 20th anniversary this May.We will also introduce the “North Alps International Art Festival” held this summer in Omachi City, a sister city of Tachikawa.

Faret Club Special Art Tour
It is an art guide tour by the volunteer group “Faret Club”. A guide who is familiar with Faret Tachikawa Art guides the work. This time, a work commentary by a special guest, popular artist Ferrece Valini of Faret Tachikawa Art is also available on the Art Museum Day.
